with a close to perfect race, Cannondale Factory Racing rider Manuel Fumic turned around his 2013 season, which started with a broken collarbone in the 1st round of the UCI MTB World Cup. Only 4 months after this accident, Fumic missed the World Champion title by only 7 seconds, walking home with the silver medal. Fumic won a Bronze medal with the german national team in the team relay as well and with that is one of the most successful riders of this years world championships!
Marco Aurelio Fontana won a Gold medal with the Italian team in the Team relay, but suffered a hard crash in lap 2 of the XCO race. After a stop in the tech zone, he found slowly back in the race and finished 12th.

U23 talent Anton Cooper finished his first U23 World Championships in 4th, less than 10 seconds to Bronze, which is a huge accomplishment for a young rider coming out of the junior category. Keegan Swenson finished the u23 race in 18th position.

With this, Cannondale Factory Racing took home 1x Gold, 1x Silver and 1x Bronze.

Next race up is the UCI MTB World Cup Finals in Hafjell, Norway on September 14th.
